Poe AI Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of the terms

Using any part of Poe AI means you have read these terms and agree to be bound by them. If you disagree with any section, stop using the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract in your country. Accounts opened by minors are removed on discovery.

3. Nature of the service

Poe AI provides automated conversational entertainment with fictional companions. No message is written by a real person presenting themselves as your partner.

4. Account registration

Provide accurate details when signing up and keep them current. One person may hold one account unless we agree otherwise in writing.

5. Account security

You are responsible for everything that happens under your credentials. Tell support immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

6. Free access

Free members receive a daily message allowance. Allowance size, features included and availability may change as the service develops.

7. Paid subscriptions

Premium plans unlock unlimited messaging and additional features. Prices are displayed before purchase and include applicable taxes where required.

8. Automatic renewal

Monthly plans renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled. Renewal is charged to the payment method on file.

9. Cancellation

Cancel at any time from account settings. Cancellation stops the next renewal; access continues until the paid period ends.

10. Refunds

Refund requests are reviewed case by case. Periods already consumed, and purchases made after heavy usage, are generally not refundable except where local law requires it.

11. Chargebacks

Opening a chargeback without contacting support first may result in immediate suspension while the dispute is examined.

12. Acceptable use

Do not use Poe AI to produce or request content involving minors, non-consenting individuals, real identifiable people, threats, terrorism or the promotion of self-harm.

13. Prohibited technical conduct

Scraping, automated querying, reverse engineering, load testing, credential sharing and attempts to bypass rate limits are all prohibited.

14. Impersonation

Do not configure a companion to imitate a real, identifiable person, or present Poe AI output as statements made by any real individual or organisation.

15. Content you submit

You keep ownership of the text you write. You grant Poe AI a limited licence to store and process it solely to operate the service for you.

16. Generated content

Replies, voices and images produced by a companion are provided for personal, non-commercial entertainment. Similar output may be produced for other members.

17. No professional advice

Nothing generated by Poe AI is medical, legal, psychological or financial advice. In an emergency contact the appropriate local service.

18. Intellectual property

The Poe AI name, interface, artwork, code and character designs are protected. No licence is granted beyond ordinary personal use of the service.

19. Third-party services

Hosting, payment and delivery partners support the platform. Their outages may interrupt Poe AI, and their own terms govern their part of the transaction.

20. Service availability

We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, upgrades and incidents may cause downtime.

21. Changes to features

Features may be added, altered or withdrawn. Where a change materially reduces a paid plan, we notify affected members in advance.

22. Suspension and termination

Accounts that breach these terms may be suspended or closed without refund. Serious breaches involving illegal content are reported to the authorities.

23. Deleting your account

You may close your account at any time. Closure removes companions, memory and chat history, and it does not create a right to a refund of unused time.

24. Disclaimer of warranties

Poe AI is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted operation.

25. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid Poe AI in the twelve months before the claim arose.

26. Indemnity

You agree to cover reasonable losses we incur from your misuse of the service or your breach of these terms.

27. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for failures caused by events beyond reasonable control, including network failures, natural events, strikes or government action.

28. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's place of establishment. Contact support first; unresolved disputes go to the courts of that jurisdiction.

29. Changes to these terms

Revised terms are posted on this page with a new date. Continuing to use Poe AI after publication means you accept the revision.
